Pink Jeep Tours offer new northern Arizona tour
Pink Jeep Tours have added an 11-hour tour route from Sedona to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. This consists of a one-hour hike through Lower Antelope Canyon with a local Navajo guide, a 1.5 mile, round trip hike through Horseshoe Bend, lunch at Glen Canyon Dam with a shopping opportunity at the Cameron Trading Post. Price includes hotel pickup in Sedona, transport to and from Sedona, admission fees and lunch.
Co-owner of FnB restaurant in Scottsdale wins prestigious James Beard Award
Charleen Badman, chef and co-owner of FnB in Scottsdale, wins a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southwest category. The category includes chefs from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. Badman was the only Arizona chef in the final round. Opened in 2009, FnB has a seasonally rotating menu that focuses on local vendors.
Collection of Mexican Folk Art donated to Tucson Museum of Art
The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block received a donation of Mexican folk art from Vicki Ragan and Shepard Barbash, adding more than 1,210 individual works to TMA's Folk Art of the Americas collection. Pieces from the Ragan/Barbash collection will be displayed in autumn 2019. The collection contains nearly 3,000 objects from South, North and Central America.

Sabino Canyon shuttle service resumes at Coronado National Forest in Tucson
The Sabino Canyon shuttle service in Tucson was postponed last June. The temporary service runs seven days a week on Upper Sabino Canyon route and Bear Canyon route. The Regional Partnering Center, Pima Association of Governments and Trams International, are working to create an electric shuttle service. The new 62 passenger electric shuttles expected later this year, will be equipped with an audio narration and interpretive system through headphones.

Tonto National Monument designated as International Dark Sky Park
The Monument which provides exceptional opportunities to observe the night sky, has implemented efforts for preservation of the nocturnal environment and educational programmes for the public. The two-year process involved retrofitting lighting fixtures and bulbs throughout the Monument and interpreting the importance of preserving darkness. This brings the total number of Arizona International Dark Sky locations to 16.
